The misuse of prescription drugs may be the most common form of substance abuse among the elderly.

Alcohol is the #1 drug problem among youth.

In America, the average age youth take their first drink is 12.  In Connecticut, the age drops to 11.                                       

New England has the highest rates of substance abuse among all regions in the U.S., with CT as New England’s highest ranked state for substance abuse.
